Euro Journey 2008...

I decided to take a risk and close up my Practice for three months and travel to Europe! Whilst the decision was a difficult one to make- I have no regrets & in fact had the time of my life (this being my 30th year)!!! My journey began with 5-weeks travelling between London, Cornwall, Wakefield back to London & finally Cambridge, visiting family & friends! I connected with Art of Living devotees, taught Yoga & attended Guru Poornima in Liverpool. I also was able to include meditation into my shedule, visiting the LBC on sight-seeing trips into London!!

My life-changing experience began when I attended a Part III Meditation Course in Bad Antogast, Germany... I asked Guruji a personal question about my future and his reply was "the choice is yours & here's a blank-cheque of blessings". Being more relaxed and feeling at home... Those blessing began to pour in :-) I took a break from the Ashram for a few days & travelled with a friend Praveen to Koblenz & visited Treir Cathedral. The Sri Sri Ayurveda Massage Course was just amazing and the healer got to heal herself with both receiving & facilitating daily Abiyanga (oil massage), Shirodhara and Marma (energy point healing)... I made a special connection with our small group (Satsang Sista's) and Beata gave us personal attention! Karin & I made an instant connection too... The synchronicity & dynamism between us is creating great waves of inspiration :-) So, when I was invited to travel with them- promoting Sri Sri Ayurveda in Europe, I couldn't say no!!

First stop was Guernsey Yoga Village & my dad decided to join us too... I'm soo grateful for his "YES-mind" attitude! It was a great success, thanx to Julie & her team of volunteers that hope to be going back there early next year! Then I came back to the UK to visit with May & Tom, whom I met @ the Ashram. They have been wonderful hosts (they're like family) & I love that we do Sadana, Satsang and cook fabulous meals together... Their home is like an Ashram :-) May is also passionate about Ayurveda & she inspired me to share this knowledge with others... We got a few friends together for Yoga in Queens Park and then hosted an Ayurvedic Dina one evening! I pray that she continues with HER SEVA -truly selfless service! Next stop, Paris Yoga Village before my short return to SA... With blessings & love!!

AOL Refresher & Dolphin Experience

I had the fortunate opportunity to attend an 4 Day AOL Refresher Course in Ponto Malangane, Mozambique in May... What an awesome setting and wondrous experience we had with our Dolphin friends!! On arrival we were welcomed by Cortney and her team & then settled into our Tented accommodation... We then met at the pool to familiarise ourselves with snorkeling. That evening Cortney gave us a Dolphin talk- suggesting how we should BE with the Dolphins during our encounter, as well as some safety tips and conservation knowledge. The mornings started with yoga & Kriya, before embarking on our boat launch to find the Dolphins... An awesome time was had by all- each had their own intimate dolphin experience to share!! After a hearty Brunch, I facilitated relaxing massage treatments, before our afternoon Refresher Course sessions. Or, there was time for a beach walk or an afternoon siesta. The evenings were filled with Drumming, a Sound Journey, Satsang & Sadvic food... For those that felt the need to do Seva- help was always needed on the kitchen & Taryn did a fine job of catering!! The last evening was celebrated with a Mozambiquen fish meal (for those that couldn't resist ;-)

I had such an awsome time & didn't get to swim with the Whale Shark after all (that morning I stayed behind to relax)... That, my good intention is to go back in October 22nd- 27th & facilitate a Rejuvenation weekend in Ponto d'Ouro, with my dear friend Diana of Sundancer Promotions! I'll have loads of inspiration & knowledge to share after my Sri Sri Ayurveda Course :-)

The journey continues...

My journey continues onward to Germany... Our European Ashram is in the Black Forest, Bad Antogast!! I'm taking a leap-of-faith and closing up my practice, putting my things into storage & travelling for 3 months :-) My good intention is to spend quality time with friends & family and Study Sri Sri Ayurveda Massage!! I remember sitting on my balcony @ our Ashram in India, writing about my good intention to study this ancient art... And, just as soon as I had qualified as a Sri Sri Yoga Teacher, the opportunity presented itself and with Guruji's grace I'm going for it :-)

I feel so fortunate to be living my truth & taking the trip of a life-time in my 30th year... Love Claire
