From India...

the shri sri yoga ttc course 1 has been an awesome experience... our daily schedule is hectic: 5:30am start with a brisk walk & yoga practice. after breakfast we have study and after lunch, more yoga- about 5- 6hours a day. after dina we meet for satsang and more study... there's soo much I've learnt and look forward to share when i get back! shri shri yoga teaches more than postures & breathwork, there's also knowledge and meditation, in a happy and joyful manner! Just one more week and we have exams coming up... what a blessing this experience has been...

JOURNEY TO CLARITY

When I arrived in India, I was met but the warmth and stuffiness of the monsoon... I caught a Gov Pre-paid Taxi and we zig-zagged through the city, dodging potholes, pedestrians and animals. All you can hear is the tooting of horns and sounds of scooters... You also get real close to your fellow travellers as the vehicles stop uncomfortably close to one-another!
On arrival at the safety of the Ashram, I was met with a welcoming smile and shown to my room, which is simple, but adequate... My roommate is as pedantic about order and time as I am. So, after a brief negotiation, we agreed on shower times, who was going to buy toilet-paper, whose lockers are whose and sharing of tea, hot water and honey. We both love our hot drinks! The food is just up my alley and in abundance!
The Advanced Course in Silence was awesome. Silence brings up one's suppressed emotion, as you are encouraged to be with your own process. It relaxes the mind too. At times I was brought to tears, especially when I joined in the traditional dancing after Satsang! Everyone is sooo friendly and warm and I truly feel like I'm a part of a One World Family! The morning Poojhas are an experience in themselves and there are no words to describe, as one goes into a deep meditation at times.
I've met soo many people from other countries, both here for Navratri and other courses on offer... It's soo wonderful to be with like-minded people!
Blessings,
Claire

Pinky and Boni

Boni and I welcome Pinky - a new practitioner-in-training. Mentoring is a core value personally and in business and Pinky shows all the enthusiasm with which Boni started her career. Pinky is a qualified primary health-care practitioner, but has aspirations to turn her attention to becoming a wellness consultant. We look forward to many happy knowledge sharing moments.

Claire and Boni

Client comment

Tucked away in a little street of Parkhurst, there is a purple painted house with a little garden path. If you walk up and go inside, you will find an atmosphere of calm; wooden floors, warm light and the smell of healing oils. Before anything, you will be offered a drink (tea, not whiskey!)! This is the house of Claire and her assistant Bonnie, where I have been privileged to receive massage and beauty treatments for over two years now. I feel that all the services offered by Claire and Boni's help not just the body, but the body-mind temple. Whether it is a massage, a manicure or a wax, it feels as if Claire and Boni are not simply treating one part of your body, but are working holistically, on many levels, to help what needs healing. This lifts Claire and Boni’s work up from your regular beauty salon. All the products used are earth friendly, the towels are not throwaway - you receive your own fresh towel in the bathroom to wipe your hands, the music is chosen carefully and takes you into a calm and meditative space. And all through your treatment, you can look out onto the beautiful garden. So you connect to your body and to nature at the same time. It feels as if everything that happens at Claire's is done with the utmost integrity, from the punctuality to the cleanliness to the absolute brilliance of the service.
Claire’s massages are deep and powerful, she chooses the perfect oils to help me whatever my current challenge and blends intuition and skill to give my back exactly what it needs! Claire is a gentle, conscious healer and I have always felt that she reads the energy of my body and so can respond to where I am at even without my having to tell her. She also is an amazingly helpful resource on nutrition and generally on healthy living.
Every beauty treatment I have received from Boni is a delight. She has amazing skill and attention to detail - her pedicures are so great that I actually love looking at my feet after she does them! Boni is also warm and all the way through, she can chat and bubble with you while dolphins coo on the CD in the background. This little purple painted house is an undiscovered treasure of Parkhurst, a place where I look forward to going to renew my body-mind. Adina
