Greeting from Hamburg, Germany... My new home and work space for the coming weeks!
As I sit here, I feel grateful for the experience and learning I had at the Art of Living Ashram in Bad Antogast! It was 10 weeks of intense personal growth... As it turned out, I was not only there to complete my Sri Sri Ayurveda Massage Training, but also to manage the Center- which become my main responsibility. Travelling Massage fell along the wayside- this was my decision, as I realises that I'm more of a quality vs quantity Practitioner. So, Karin & Beata ended up going to Croatia, Portaugal, Denmark and Holland (as we speak :-)
I realise now that I still needed growth in the area of interpersonal relationships- being on my own, managing Boni and my time! During the Part III Meditation Course there were nine of us plus the Seva teams (selfless service) of four each break-time... I had very late nights and early mornings, but "lack-of" sleep was not the issue... For three weeks I worked without a day-off- now that's selfless service! My overall impression was good and I had soo much fun with my fellow trainees, delegating and managing our team! Needless to say- I got my time off and went on a road-trip to Denmark... There I decided it was time for me to leave the Ashram and take up a friends offer to come work at the AOL Center in Hamburg!
It seems I'm back to managing- though I feel more like an AOL Angle! Krishi is a travelling Part I Teacher, so I will be on my own most of the time (which I prefer) and facilitate the Yoga and Ayurveda Massage- as well as keep the place feeling like home :-) Most evenings we have happenings when other teachers & guests come- so there is loads to keep me busy! I'm networking with other Massage practitioners, making new friends and learning German here and there! Weather permitting- my good intention is to explore Hamburg by bike.. It's known as the most beautiful German City! Already I'm familiar with the underground and buses and I believe they have water-taxi's as well- I will save that for warmer weather ;-)
Our Ayurveda Doctor arrived yesterday and being in his presence has rekindled the desire to study further... Let's see what happens over the coming days! YES! I CAN DO ANYTHING :-)

Euro Journey 2008...
I decided to take a risk and close up my Practice for three months and travel to Europe! Whilst the decision was a difficult one to make- I have no regrets & in fact had the time of my life (this being my 30th year)!!! My journey began with 5-weeks travelling between London, Cornwall, Wakefield back to London & finally Cambridge, visiting family & friends! I connected with Art of Living devotees, taught Yoga & attended Guru Poornima in Liverpool. I also was able to include meditation into my shedule, visiting the LBC on sight-seeing trips into London!!
My life-changing experience began when I attended a Part III Meditation Course in Bad Antogast, Germany... I asked Guruji a personal question about my future and his reply was "the choice is yours & here's a blank-cheque of blessings". Being more relaxed and feeling at home... Those blessing began to pour in :-) I took a break from the Ashram for a few days & travelled with a friend Praveen to Koblenz & visited Treir Cathedral. The Sri Sri Ayurveda Massage Course was just amazing and the healer got to heal herself with both receiving & facilitating daily Abiyanga (oil massage), Shirodhara and Marma (energy point healing)... I made a special connection with our small group (Satsang Sista's) and Beata gave us personal attention! Karin & I made an instant connection too... The synchronicity & dynamism between us is creating great waves of inspiration :-) So, when I was invited to travel with them- promoting Sri Sri Ayurveda in Europe, I couldn't say no!!
First stop was Guernsey Yoga Village & my dad decided to join us too... I'm soo grateful for his "YES-mind" attitude! It was a great success, thanx to Julie & her team of volunteers that hope to be going back there early next year! Then I came back to the UK to visit with May & Tom, whom I met @ the Ashram. They have been wonderful hosts (they're like family) & I love that we do Sadana, Satsang and cook fabulous meals together... Their home is like an Ashram :-) May is also passionate about Ayurveda & she inspired me to share this knowledge with others... We got a few friends together for Yoga in Queens Park and then hosted an Ayurvedic Dina one evening! I pray that she continues with HER SEVA -truly selfless service! Next stop, Paris Yoga Village before my short return to SA... With blessings & love!!
